Rx Report™ is a pharmacist-assisted genetic drug compatibility test offered by Personalized Prescribing Inc. to identify the most effective psychotropic medications with the least number of side effects.

Opti-Med is a pharmacogenetics report that can be viewed on a computer or uploaded on a phone. It provides high level evidence on metabolism (clearance) of 80% of the drugs commercially available. It does not provide information on efficacy of drugs.

For both tests, it takes 5-7 business days to complete the analysis after we receive your swab sample at our laboratory.

Website pricing: RxReport $549 plus HST, Opti-Med $199 plus HST. Manulife Vitality member pricing: RxReport $439 plus HST, Opti-Med $179 plus HST.

Sample collection instructions will be sent with the DNA sample kit. Follow the instructions to collect the sample and return the prepaid envelope to our lab by Canada Post.

Patients should not eat or drink for 30 minutes before taking the sample. It is better to brush teeth 30 minutes before collecting the swab.

No, the shipment charge is included in the price.

For RxReport: the pharmacist sends the summary report via email. A link with the patient's unique login ID and password will also be sent to view the genetic report. For Opti-Med: patients receive email notification with login credentials and instructions.

The genetic test analysis is 99.99% accurate. The interpretation of the test results is done by our pharmacists.

Rx Report™ test is supported by compelling scientific evidence available on multiple health sciences platforms such as PharmGKB, CPIC, and FDA. The tests analyze up to 59 genes and 104 genetic variations.

All information is kept private and confidential, and information is only used on an aggregate level for statistical purposes to improve services. The Genetic Anti-Discrimination Act (April 2017) prohibits discrimination based on genetic information.
